Wishes Fireworks Spectacular

Wonderful Ways to View Wishes Nighttime Spectacular

Sadly…

The Wishes Nighttime Spectacular is no longer shown in the Magic Kingdom.

The last showing was on May 12th, 2017 and we were lucky enough to be there on May 8th(my 30th Birthday!) to say Farewell to Wishes one last time.

Words cannot express how sad it was to see a cherished show that has run for 14 years come to an end but I know Disney will rock out with the new Happily Ever After Fireworks Show.

I originally wrote the article below on 7-11-2016 not knowing that less than a year later the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular would end.

I truly loved this fireworks show and made a point to see it as much as possible during my stays at Disney.

I’m so glad I got to say Farewell to Wishes!!

Feel free to still read this amazing article on how Wonderful Wishes really was!!

Finish off your magical day at Disney World Resort wishing on a star with your favorite Disney Characters!

Join Heroes and Villains alike as they take their battle to the sky with all the classic Disney songs you love to sing in sync with the fireworks explosions encircling majestic Cinderella Castle!

Check out all the Wonderful Ways to View the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular

Inside the Park:

In my opinion, the best viewing spots inside the park are on Main Street between Casey’s Corner and the Plaza Restaurant.

Really anywhere between the statue of Walt Disney&Mickey Mouse in the center of the hub and Cinderella’s Castle you’re not going to get the full view of the fireworks.

Outside the Park:

Hotels with Amazing Viewing Options:

The Contemporary Resorts California Grill has an extraordinary view of Cinderella Castle as you can see here.

I’m super excited I was able to get a reservation during our December trip to see the fireworks while we eat.

A good thing about California Grill is even if you don’t get a dinner reservation if you eat at lunch you can come back to view the Fireworks Spectacular for the observatory deck.

Additional Wishes Nighttime Spectacular Tips:

* Disney’s PhotoPass Photographers are set up all around the castle for a perfect photo opportunity.

Before the Firework Spectacular starts to get a picture of your group with Cinderella’s Castle lit up behind you. It’s a magical picture and you can thank me later.

* If you’re inside the park don’t miss Tinker Bells flight at the beginning of Wishes! Tinker Bell soars through the sky over Cinderella Castle and it’s truly something magical to see!

Make sure you’re in that best viewing area I mentioned earlier!!

* Since it is an outdoor show, times are subject to change due to inclement weather.

Confirm any reservations for Dessert Parties up to one week prior to your arrival date.

Holiday Wishes Fireworks Spectacular:

*Happy HalloWishes Fireworks at the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is absolutely amazing. The Disney Villains have cast a spell on the Magic Kingdom. Sing along with Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, the Grim Grinning Ghosts as the Villains take to the sky to try to try to steal the show!! I’ve seen this first hand and it is definitely a must see experience!!

*Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season as Wishes gets a Holiday Twist!!

* Additional Event Ticket purchase is required for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Wishes will always be my most favorite experience when going to Disney World. There are a lot of close seconds but Wishes Fireworks Spectacular is my ultimate favorite thing.

I wont lie…I do get a little teary eyed during the show but what can I say I am a huge Disney dork!!!
