2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Favorites
On our March trip to the 2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, we tried a lot of the eats at the outdoor kitchens and explored the stunning topiaries and gardens.
Every year this beautiful festival tries to outdo itself… and 2021 was no exception…
Epcot added more outdoor kitchen booths, more topiaries and extended this festival longer than any year before!
This year’s festival started March 3rd and will run until July 5th, 2021.
2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Favorites
Merchandise
The 2021 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival brought back previous themed merchandise like Minnie in Full Bloom…
Figmentโs Home Grown Happiness and Orange Bird…
This merchandise is adorable!! I really wanted to buy so much!!!
We didnโt get to see the Sweet as Honey merch so if you saw that comment below and let us know what you thought!!
Topiaries &ย Garden
Each year the topiaries get more life like and more extravagant!!
Beauty and the Beast is always a favorite…
Simba and Friends was in a new location and I loved the spaceship earth backdrop!
Who doesnโt love the Three Caballeros?!
Figment had a new location as well, due to the construction going on toward the entrance of Epcot, and I loved the new setup for him!!
Some more favorites…
Outdoor Kitchens
We tried a lot of eats at this year’s festival…
The new boothย Sunshine Griddleย was an absolute fave!!
We had the Shrimp and Gritsย even though it had a kick…it was delicious!!
Loaded withย blackened shrimp and cheddar cheese grits with brown gravy and corn salsa. I was iffy on whether I would like brown gravy on shrimp but it was so good!
The Taste of Marrakeshย booth in Morocco had aย Moroccan Seafood Couscous which consisted of Shrimp, Mussels, Olives, Preserved Lemon, and Anchovy Breadcrumbs.
The mussels were huge!!
I didnโt care for the anchovy breadcrumbs but the mussels and shrimp were a great combo with the spicy olives!
At Lotus House, we tried the House-made Crab and Cheese Wontons…
Iโm usually not a fan of green onion but the crab mixture was awesome! Next time I would ask for a little more sauce drizzled over them…but I like a lot of sauce!
La Isla Frescaย is a longtime favorite booth of ours!ย The Sugar Cane Shrimpย is worth a repeat year after year!
Another booth favorite is in France at Fleur de Lysย and is a drink we love…
The La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy…
It has Vodka, Grey Goose LโOrange Vodka, St. Germain Liqueur, with White and Red Cranberry Juice, and it the perfect frozen option on a hot Epcot day….or any day!!
I also want to mention the Braised Duck Confit and Parisian Gnocchi we also had at Fleur de Lys because I thought it was amazing and so tender and juicy!
The Gnocchi was a little larger than normal but the duck was just so good I couldnโt leave it out!
So every year we have our favorite, and not-so-favorite, booths but our Absolute Favorite hands down, without a doubt is Northern Bloomย located in Canada.
Seared Scallops and Beef Tenderloin Tipsย are a must if you’re looking for something to fill you up and be a hearty, tasty dish as well.
The Beef Tenderloin Tips come with a Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce with Whipped Potatoes and Garden Vegetables and the meat is always cooked to perfection and the potatoes are a great filler.
The Seared Scallops come with French Green Beans, Butter Potatoes, Brown Butter Vinaigrette, and Applewood-smoked Bacon. Yup, bacon! That brown butter sauce is so yummy and there is just something perfect about bacon and scallops!
We did notice on this trip our scallops were cold so we took the plate back to the window and replaced it with a fresh dish. The cast members are very accommodating when it comes to making the guests happy!
The Beer Flightย is also a favorite flight of mine at the festival!
Another favorite beer isnโt from the festival, you can get it year-round and I love to let people know about this hidden gem located in the Japan pavilion!
Frozen Beer!!
The frozen foam on top is made with beer so as it melts it keeps your beer fresh! Yummy!!
Ok… I hate to do this but there was one item we had that I have to mention and I would not recommend was the Lemon-poached Lobster Salad from The Citrus Blossom. In previous years this booth has had lobster tail and it was so good. I donโt know why they changed it.
Iโm not sure if it was supposed to be hot or cold but the lobster itself was cold but the salad seemed like it had sat under the heat lamp. We both spat this one out and threw it away. I hate it happened…I loved this booth before.
