Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort

Staying on property you will receive your magic bands and resort package in the mail within 30 days of your arrival date.

If you book your Disney package within 30 days of your arrival, like ours was, you will pick up your magic bands at the front desk.

Lobby Area:

Online Check-In through the My Disney Experience App is still available… regardless of how early, or late, you book your trip. You can also choose to receive a text or email when your room is ready.

If you have your Magic Bands you can go straight to your room and use your magical magic bands to enter your room.

Rooms:

The All-Star Movies Resort has two room options to choose from Standard or Preferred.

While on the inside the rooms are the same, the difference is location.
The standard rooms are typically located toward the back of the resort… a little further from the lobby and restaurant area.

The preferred rooms are typically located near the main pool(i.e. the Fantasia Pool), closer to the on-site restaurant and the complimentary park bus area.

We always decorate our resort window when we stay on and it’s a really fun addition to staying on property.

On our stay at the All-Star Movies Resort we requested a room in the Toy Story Section and lucked up by getting a newly renovated room.

The new rooms have hardwood floors replacing the carpets, instead of two double beds they now come equipped with one queen bed and a pull-down murphy bed… which gives more space for a bigger table. The shower curtains have been replaced with glass shower doors and the vanity/sink area is more spacious than before.

Bathroom and Vanity Area and I love the lights they’ve lined the mirror with. It makes getting ready in the morning much easier with all the added space.

The rooms are furnished with full size bottles of Disney’s own H2O+  product line of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower and facial soap at the sink. They smell amazing and are available for purchase in the Donald’s Double Feature Disney store on-site. 

Coffee Maker and Fridge Area…

Yay!! Disney finally took our suggestions and put a coffee maker in the room!

It’s a Keurig style 2-cup coffee maker and in the drawer below there are coffee, tea and sweetener options.

We also brought a small toaster oven with us and set it up in this station to reheat our left overs at the end of the night. You can also use the microwave in the on-site quick service restaurant where there is complimentary coffee as well.

With a selection of Burgers, Hotdogs, Pasta, Steak, Salmon, Sandwiches and more the food here is surprisingly amazing!

~ This one is a secret… so shhh don’t tell everyone… but there are massage chairs in the arcade. They are to the side, so most people don’t even know they are there, but yes! These are lifesavers after a long day at the park. I believe its $2 for 5 minutes. You’re welcome!!

As of 2018, Disney has decided to Charge their Resort Guests for Parking Overnight. The price for Disney Value Resort Parking is $13 per night. I think it’s a little ridiculous for Disney to do this to their Resort Guests while letting non-guests park and use the amenities of the hotel free of charge…but it is what it is. It also gives you free parking at the parks if you choose to drive instead of using the complimentary bus options.
