Disney’s Pop Century Resort Review
On our recent visit down to Disney World we decided to stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort..
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
The theming of the Pop Century Resort is a look through the decades from the 1950s-1990s.
Each section is decorated to a different decade theme.
For example we were located in the 80’s and our building was themed to walkmans, moods rings, rubix cubes and the pool was computer themed.
Rooms
Disney’s Pop Century Resort offers two room options to choose from… Standard or Preferred.
While on the inside the rooms are the same, the difference is location. The standard rooms are typically located toward the back of the resort… a little further from the lobby and restaurant area.
The preferred rooms are located near the main pool, the Hippy Dippy Pool, closer to the on-site restaurant and the complimentary park bus area.
We always decorate our resort window when we stay on and it’s a really fun addition to staying on property.
The newly renovated rooms have hardwood floors replacing the carpets, instead of two double beds they now come equipped with one queen bed and a pull-down murphy bed.
The Bathroom and Vanity area is super spacious with plenty of counter space and cabinets for storage.
I love the lights they’ve lined the mirror with.
It makes getting ready in the morning much easier with all the added space.
Coffee Maker and Fridge Area…
We also brought a small toaster oven with us and set it up in this station to reheat our leftovers at the end of the night.
You can also use the microwave in the on-site quick-service restaurant where there is complimentary coffee as well.
A Flat-screen TV with Disney Info Channels that tell park hours, hourly temperatures, and any other info you may need to know during your visit.
You can also watch a channel that is just the Happily Ever After Fireworks show from Magic Kingdom!!
An in-room safe with a key is located inside the dresser under the TV.
There is an iron and ironing board located inside the closet.
Restaurant and Pool Bar
Classic Hall Food Court: Quick Service Dining (All Dining Plans Accepted)
Petals Pool Bar located at the Hippy Dippy Pool
The food from the Classic Hall was really good!! I crave the Disney fries!!!
Larger than Life Decor
Pool Options
The main pool at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is the Hippy Dippy Pool located in the 1060’s section and shares with the 1970’s section.
The 1950’s section has the Bowling Pool which is in the shape of a bowling pin!
The 1980s and 1990’s sections share the Computer Pool.
Shopping and Recreation:
Everything Pop Shopping and Dining offers lots of Disney souvenirs, clothing, park accessories, convenience items you may have left at home, and even a small liquor store.
Movies Under the Stars– Nightly Movie Showings at the Reel Theater
Cookie Decorating or TShirt Tye Dying in the Premier Food Court. Resort Activities vary month to month. Check with the Front Desk for a Monthly Activity Guide.
