Hotel Blue in Myrtle Beach, SC Review
We have just returned home from another wonderful trip to the Carolina coast! This trip was exceptionally great due to it being my first sponsored trip as a travel blogger!!
I was fortunate enough to be sponsored to stay and review Hotel Blue in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina… which I can honestly say was in the top resorts I’ve stayed at in Myrtle Beach!!…
and if you’ve read my Things You Must Do in Myrtle Beachย article then you know that I’ve been visiting the Myrtle Beach area every year since I was just 6 weeks old!! That is a lot of hotel stays my friends!!
Hotel Blue in Myrtle Beach Review
Location: 705 S. Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
- Check-In: 4pm
- Check-Out: 11am
The location of the hotel, in my opinion, was ideal to walk the boardwalk.
Everything you would want to do in Myrtle Beach is close by including restaurants, shopping, Family Kingdom Amusement Park, the SkyWheel, Broadway at the Beach and more!!ย We were able to walk to the 2nd Avenue Pier and browse plenty of dining/shopping options along the way.
Lobby:
Upon entering the Lobby I was greeted by 2 smiling faces welcoming me to Hotel Blue.
The sweet ladies at the front desk informed me of all the amazing hotel amenities, including the pool, Cafe, and Bar times, while checking me in.
I also received a Coupon Book and Vacation Member Benefits Card that included over 70+ discounts to Attractions, Dining, Live Entertainment, Shopping and much more.
Room:
We stayed on the 5th Floor in room number 512.
The room was a Oceanfront Efficiency that included 2 Queen size beds,
and a full kitchen with a fridge, stove, sink, and coffee maker.
The cabinets held all the plates, silverware, pots, pans, and anything else you may need in the kitchen while on vacation.
If you’re needing storage space for clothing, etc… there is plenty of closet, drawer and cabinet space for your belongings.
Bathroom/Shower:
The only complaint I had during my stay was the water temperature….it would go from extremely hot to extremely cold…so my showers only lasted long enough to wash and get out.
Balcony:
The view from our balcony was stunning, and upon walking into the room we were greeted by this beautiful rainbow!!
The balcony overlooked the outdoor pool, lazy river, hot tub and South Carolina’s first swim up pool bar!!

Pool(s):
The hotel includes an outdoor pool and hot tub as well as an indoor lazy river and hot tub.
Bar(s):
It did rain off and on during our trip so we didn’t get to enjoy the swim up pool bar MIXX, but we did partake in a few drinks at Proximity Bar located in the lobby area. Jason and Bridget the bartenders served us up delicious mixed drinks and kept us very much entertained!!
Excellent service for sure!
Dining:
On-premises is the Cafe Blue which serves limited breakfast items as well as Starbucks Coffee, which I definitely took part in, and the Blueberry Muffin was a great way to start the day!
There are restaurants all over Myrtle Beach that will deliver food to your hotel room or you can head over to Captains Quarters (Hotel Blues Sister Resort) and eat at the Loco Gecko Restaurant which serves Salads, Wraps, Burgers, Pizza and more.
